What kind of lock works best on an outdoor gate?

Can my gate use the same key as my house?
Often, yes. If the gate lock's keyway is compatible with your door locks we can key them alike, so one key covers the house and the gate. Where the hardware can't match, a keypad gate lock removes the key question entirely — useful for households, and even more so for multi-family buildings.
The gate won't latch unless I lift it. Can you fix that?
